College towns carry a lot of Virginia. Charlottesville and UVA, Blacksburg and Virginia Tech, Williamsburg and William & Mary, Harrisonburg and JMU. Each has alumni who want the campus with a heart on the dorm or the first apartment. Charlottesville is also a wedding town, with vineyards in the hills around it.
