Husker football is the market. Lincoln maps with a heart on Memorial Stadium, the first apartment or the campus sell to Nebraskans across the country. Keep the city street map tight around the stadium and campus so the blocks read.

Omaha sells by neighborhood and by baseball. The College World Series brings fans to town every June, and a map around the ballpark downtown is a good souvenir. Dundee and Benson buyers want their streets.

Then farm and small-town Nebraska. A heart on the family farm with the nearest town and the river is a strong Christmas gift. The Platte River runs across the whole state and makes a natural engraved line on almost any piece.

The sandhill crane migration along the Platte near Kearney draws visitors every spring, and they want the river where they watched. Lake McConaughy is the summer market in the west, with families camping on the beaches. And people who grew up in small towns and moved to Omaha or Lincoln want both places, with a star at each end and the Platte between them.

Nebraska has a distinct outline: the panhandle on the west, the Missouri River making the eastern edge wavy, and a notch in the southwest corner where Colorado cuts in. At 4 in square, the state sits low and wide, so a rectangle size gives more room if the customer wants a lot inside.

Inside, I-80 follows the Platte across the state, which means one line does double duty. Add the Platte itself as a thin water line beside it and a heart on the hometown. Lake McConaughy is a small water piece in the west if you want one more detail.

Scarlet and cream is the backer. A scarlet acrylic behind birch is the most-requested Nebraska ornament there is.
