Beach towns, by a mile. Florida buyers are often not from Florida. They winter here, retired here, or vacationed on the same stretch of sand for decades. A city street map of a barrier island town, with the Gulf or Atlantic on one side and the bay or Intracoastal on the other, is a top seller. Think Siesta Key, Anna Maria, Sanibel, Destin, Vero Beach.

Then the college towns: Gainesville, Tallahassee, Orlando, Tampa, Miami. And the two-place piece: up north where they grew up, and the Florida town where they live now.
Storms have made some buyers want a record of a place as it was: the old beach cottage, the pier, the street they grew up on. Be gentle with the copy for these. A map with the year engraved in the frame band is a quiet way to mark it.
Making a laser cut Florida ornament
Florida is two shapes: the long Panhandle running west and the peninsula hanging down. At 4 in square, the whole state fits, but the peninsula ends up narrow. Inside, use I-75 and I-95 down each side, I-10 across the Panhandle, I-4 from Tampa to Daytona, and Lake Okeechobee as a cut-out water piece. Lake O is the single best detail on a Florida ornament.
Know the outline before you sell an island town. The state frame traces the mainland and is simplified, so the Keys, Miami Beach and other barrier islands fall outside it. Check the outline in the Studio. For a Keys buyer, a round ornament or a route map of the Overseas Highway is a better product.
