Where a cup tapers, the template splits into top, transition and bottom and labels the circumference of each — the thing a single number can’t tell you.

Seam overdraw built in

40mm past the seam on each side, so a pattern that runs off the edge comes back around the other side instead of stopping dead.

Before you ask.

Are these tumbler templates really free?

Yes. Every size, every format, no account and no email. Use them commercially, no attribution needed. We give them away because makers who stop guessing at wrap sizes tend to want the rest of what we build.

What size is a 40oz tumbler wrap?

315mm around by 240mm of engraveable height, measured at the widest engraveable point on a real blank. It also tapers, so a single 315mm rectangle will distort near the base — the annotated template marks the transition and gives you the circumference of each section.

Why is the template wider than the tumbler’s circumference?

There is 40mm of overdraw on each side. Art that runs past the seam wraps around to the other side of the cup, so designing into the margin is how you get a pattern that meets itself instead of stopping short.

Will the file open at the right size in LightBurn or xTool?

Yes. The SVG is authored at true physical size — one unit is one millimetre — and the .lbrn2 and .xs files are native projects, so there is no import-and-rescale step. Every guide lands on the cut layer; switch that layer’s output off before you run the job.

What is the difference between the annotated and blank templates?

The annotated one is the real Studio artboard: seam and centre lines, taper sections with each band’s circumference, handle-mount keepouts, and panel guides. The blank is just the wrap outline and the overdraw boundary, for people who want a clean frame.

Do I still need TumblerForge if the templates are free?

Not to lay out a wrap. The template tells you the size. What it can’t do is show you the seam meeting before you burn, or hand a customer a spinning preview to approve. That’s the part you’re paying for, and there’s a free demo so you can decide.
